In September 2024, we joined theSBTiScientific Carbon Target Initiative to advance our sustainable development journey.

Manage

Following TCFD guidelines, we identify climate-related risks and enhance transparency in our reporting. Our sustainable practices include solar photovoltaic installations, utilizing Kenya's geothermal power, and implementing energy-saving measures. In 2023, our GHG emission intensity decreased by 28.12% compared to 2022.

Strategy

We have followed the guidance recommended by the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) to identify and respond to the risks and opportunities posed by climate change, while enhancing climate-related disclosure and transparency in environmental reporting.

Sustainable development approach

We set up solar photovoltaic stations in each production base, make full use of Kenya's geothermal power, save energy through lean production transformation, conduct daily energy conservation training, and carry out low carbon emission reduction.

Performance

In 2023, our greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1 and 2) have decreased by 27.19% compared to the baseline year of 2022.
In 2023, renewable electricity use increased significantly to 14.18%，while all steam in Xuchang is sourced from renewable biomass.
